Upcoming Community Meeting:

The City of Cottonwood (City) and their contractor, Combs Construction Company, invite you to attend an open house meeting for the Main Street Improvements Project. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m at the City Recreation Center (150 S 6th St). This meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation. Feel free to join us at any time between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Members of the project team will be available to discuss items like the scope of the project, the tentative schedule, planned traffic control and how to stay informed as the project moves forward.

Project Details:

The Main Street Improvements Project consists of reconstructing the asphalt pavement along Main Street, from the City Limits to just east of 8th Street. Additional work includes storm drain and ADA concrete work throughout Old Town Cottonwood. This project will be constructed in four phases (shown in the map below) and is set to begin in late spring/early summer 2025. Project completion is tentatively scheduled for fall 2025. Please note that this project is contingent upon the completion of other projects in the area and is highly weather dependent. Residents, businesses and motorists can expect road closures and extensive traffic control measures during construction. Crews will be working day and night to expedite completion of this project.
